Louis Stadlin Obituary
Virginia Beach - After a valiant fight with aging, Lou Stadlin passed from natural causes on Friday, October 9, 2015 at his home in First Colonial Inn.
Lou was born on July 11, 1928 in Brooklyn, New York. He met his wife, Frances Stadlin while serving in the Navy and stationed in Norfolk, Virginia. He and Fran (who predeceased him in 1989) made their home in Hampton, Virginia. They owned a Marine Electronics business serving the commercial shipping, fishing, and military fleets located or traveling through Hampton Roads and other ports in the Mid-Atlantic region. They raised four children and their life together was focused on family.
Lou is survived by his children, Debi Stadlin, Greg Stadlin, Kenny Stadlin (Kary), and David Stadlin (Patti). Lou is also survived by six grandchildren, Steven Epstein (Beth), Joe, Sarah, Cameron, Frances, and Kelly Stadlin and one great grandchild, Marlana Epstein.
The family is deeply appreciative of the support of the staff at First Colonial Inn, Sentara Hospice, and Joyce Kizer.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 17, at 2:00 pm at Virginia Beach Friends Meeting, 1537 Laskin Road, Virginia Beach. The family will visit with guests after the service.

Kenny and David - I was so sorry to hear of Lou's passing. I have so many tremendous memories of him in Riverdale and @ Post 31. He was an inspiration to all and as fun a man as, I believe, I ever met growing up. Remember the great times and enjoy the memories of a truly Great Man!

I'm sad to learn of Lou's passing. He loved all of you unconditionally which we as parents can now truly appreciate and only try to emulate. He was a great father to you all. My thoughts and prayers are with you David, Kenny, Greg and Debbie. Lou was one of a kind and was very special and influencial in my life as he was in many others. You are fortunate to have had such a loving, devoted father.
