Paul J. Leparik MILLFORD, Conn. - Mr. Paul J. Leparik, 45, beloved husband of Teresa Bunn Leparik of Milford, passed away April 2, 2009, surrounded by his family after a long and courageous battle with colon cancer. Son of Elizabeth Schmidt Leparik of Garden City, N.Y., and the late Gerhardt Leparik, Paul was born April 5, 1963, in Bronx, N.Y. He was a computer programmer for 23 years at New York Life Insurance Company. Paul was a graduate of Chaminade High School of Mineola, N.Y., class of 1981 and a graduate of Adelphi University, Garden City, N.Y., class of 1985, where he was a pitcher for the Adelphi Panther baseball team. Paul was fondly known by his teammates as "Dirt" and broke many of the Panther baseball records. In addition to his beloved wife of 13 years and mother, Paul is survived by three cherished children, Paul, Alexandra and Ashley; as well as a brother, Frank Leparik and his wife Denise of Greenlawn, N.Y.; Mother and father-in-law, Elizabeth and John Bunn; stepfather, Stanley Wataras of Garden City; brothers-in-law, Jeff Bunn and John P. Bunn III and his wife Cherie; and sister-in-law, Donna Alderman and her husband David, all of Chesapeake; nieces, Kathryn, Gabrielle, Francesca, Michelle and Maralei and nephews, David II, Daniel and John IV; and many much loved aunts, uncles and cousins. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in St. Gabriel Church, 26 Broadway, Milford. Committal will be private. Family and friends may call today from 3 to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St. on the Green, Milford.
