Janet Falk Obituary
Virginia Beach - Janet Leigh Falk, 52, departed this life on Tuesday, March 12th after a brief illness. She was predeceased by her mother, Kathryn (Kitty).
Janet was a loving mother, devoted daughter and sister, doting grandmother, and avid fan of her two nephews. Her love of animals encouraged her to participate in many horse shows and she won several events with the Atlantic Saddle Club and AQHA throughout Virginia and elsewhere. She continued riding horses as a favorite pastime.
She enjoyed being with friends, attending church, hockey games and watching her granddaughter ride horses. She was the life of the office and everyone knew when she walked in. She was a computer programmer and was the "go-to" technician. Janet always kept a book in her hand as she was a passionate reader.
Janet leaves to mourn her memory a daughter, Jamie Sanford (David), father, Charles Falk, brother, Eddie (Susan), granddaughter, Kathryn Jewel, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, and a host of loving and caring friends.
Funeral arrangements are being entrusted to H. D. Oliver Funeral Apts. Mrs. Falk's funeral service will be held on Friday, March 15 at 11 a.m. at the Laskin Road Chapel. Burial will follow immediately at Princess Anne Memorial Park. The family will receive guests on Thursday, March 14 between 6and 8 p.m. at the funeral home. www.hdoliver.com

Just recently heard of your passing. I can remember about 20 years ago, coming to your house during the summer and playing in your pool, riding the horses and playing with Jamie. You were always kind to my family (Fry Family) and I thought you were the coolest person ever. Now may you rest in peace and be a guardian angel for those you left behind.

Janet was an awesome lady with a big heart. She was a good friend to my mom and always looked out for us kids growing up. I looked forward to going to her Christmas parties just as much as I enjoyed Christmas day. She will definitely be missed!
