Wayne Fulcher Obituary
Portsmouth - Earl Wayne Fulcher, 76, a longtime resident of Portsmouth passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2016 in a local hospital. He was born on October 12, 1939 in Buxton, NC to the late Earl and Wilma Fulcher. Wayne was a renowned artist and a 1960 graduate of Churchland High School, where he ran track and held the title for the fastest mile for over 10 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Judy Towns.
He is survived by his two sons, Eric Fulcher and wife Shelby and Aaron Fulcher and wife Dana; three grandchildren, Aaron Alexander Fulcher, Corine Fulcher and Caleb Fulcher; a brother, Dave Crockett; and a host of extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 4:30 PM Saturday, August 6, 2016 in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel.

My sincere condolences to the family. I did not know Mr. Fulcher personally but I know his art. My grandparents were Hatteras natives and I spent as much time there as possible. His art made me feel at home again and I will always appreciate him for that.
