Charles Miller Biddle III, 95, died Friday, June 7, at Foulkeways in Gwynedd.
Born in 1911 in Riverton, N.J., he was the son of Charles Miller Biddle Jr. and Anna Haines Lippincott Biddle. He was the great-grandson of Robert Biddle, one of the nine Philadelphia Quaker merchant founders of Riverton, N.J., in 1851.
He attended Westfield Friends School in Cinnaminson, N.J., William Penn Charter School in Philadelphia, Moses Brown in Providence, R.I., and Guilford College in Greensboro, N.C.
He was a lifelong member of Westfield Friends Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends. He was a former member of Riverton County Club in Riverton, N.J., and Buck Hill Falls Golf Club in Buck Hill Falls. He was an avid hunter, golfer and fly fisherman.
He worked for Supplee Biddle Hardware Company in Philadelphia and served on its board until its sale in 1964. He was co-owner of the Moorsetown Chrysler-Plymouth dealership and was later an agricultural chemicals representative for the J.P. Thomas Company.
He was married to Priscilla White Biddle of Greensboro, N.C., for 35 years until her death in 1971. In addition to Priscilla Biddle, he was preceded in death in 1975 by Marjorie T. Corson of Plymouth Meeting, whom he married in 1972.
He is survived by four children with Biddle: Ann Biddle Moran Hepburn of Wyndmoor, Charles Miller Biddle IV, M.D., of Moorestown, N.J., David White Biddle of Hatfield, Mass., and Richard Lippincott Biddle of Chestnuthill; a sister, Nancy Biddle Russell of Newtown; five grandchildren, Douglas Moran, James Moran, Amy Biddle, Owen Biddle, and Christopher Biddle; and one-great grandchild, Connor Healy.
He is also survived by his wife of 20 years, Phyllis Jenkins Morrison Biddle, and her children, John Davis Morrison of Elwyn, David Jenkins Morrison of Harrisburg and Joan Van Dusen Morrison of East Kingston, N.H.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., on Sunday, July 9, in the Jenkins Parlor at Foulkeways in Gywnedd. Burial at the Westfield Friends Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Westfield Friends School, 2201, Riverton Road, Cinnaminson, NJ 08077, or a charity of the donor's choice.

I did not know Charles nor do I know the family but just by reading this he seemed like an amazing man with an exciting life.
