Barbara Jacobs Obituary

Barbara J. Jacobs, 78, of Scotrun, died Saturday, July 31st, 2021, at St. Luke's Hospital in Bartonsville. She was the loving wife of Stephen Jacobs, with whom she shared 42 years of marriage.
Born in Queens, New York, she was the daughter of the late James and Mary Devlin.
Barbara was a nurse and worked at Staten Island University Hospital. After her retirement, she became a school nurse for the Pocono Mountain School District. Barbara was a member of the Pocono Township Volunteer Fire Company Auxiliary. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons: James Patterson of Spring Branch, Texas; Peter Jacobs and his wife, Alyta of Lancaster; daughter, Marjorie Ober and her husband, Damain of Brodheadsville; brother, John Flanagan of Cranbury, New Jersey; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be a visitation from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, August 6th, 2021 at Bolock Funeral Home, 6148 Paradise Valley Road, Rt. 940, Cresco PA 18326. Pastor Zab Khan will conduct a memorial service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Pocono Township Volunteer Fire Company, 114 Municipal Lane, Tannersville PA. 18372. Private cremation has been entrusted to Bolock Funeral Home Crematory.
