ZANE A. MURRAY
LUCASVILLE —Zane Alan Murray, 51 of Lucasville passed away Sunday, July 16, 2017 at his residence. Born May 28, 1966, a son of Loretta Gilliland Murray of Lucasville and the late Samuel Murray, he was a 1984 graduate of Valley High School, a member of Carpenter's Union Local 437 in Portsmouth and a member of Mary Chapel United Baptist Church in Waverly.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Beverly Tackett Murray; three children, Lynzee Jo Murray, Drew Alan Murray, Annie Elizabeth Murray and her fiancé Josh Riddlebarger; one brother, Zackary Murray of Portsmouth; one sister Pamela Jo (Rick) Wright of Lucasville, and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 21, 2017 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Elders Arvil Murray, Jr., Jeff Conley and C.J. Murray officiating. Burial will be at Wheeler Cemetery in Lucasville. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Zane made geometry class an absolute blast! Even if you were having a bad day you couldn't help feeling better by the end. I can't believe such a wonderful man with a quick wit and an infectious smile isn't with us any more, but he will live on through everyone he came in contact with. Remember his smile, his laughter.....He will always be with you.

So sorry to hear of the loss of a childhood neighbor that we all got to enjoy playing tag, ball, going sleigh riding down the big hill where we all lived....Such fun times.
