Chiquita Teamer Obituary

Chiquita (Chic) S. Teamer passed away peacefully on Monday, January 11, 2021. Chic was born on July 5, 1960 in Covington, TN. She was the first-born to the late Willie F. Teamer, Sr., and LueVern Wright-Teamer. Chiquita devoted her time and energy to all who loved her. She graduated in 1978 from Horace Mann High School, Gary, IN. Chic was baptized at a young age at Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church where she continued to serve as a devoted member of the Church, as the Announcing Clerk for the Broadcast Ministry. Her unwavering faith in God was the source of her strength throughout her life. She was a dedicated employee of 16 years at Purdue University Northwest until her untimely passing. As she enters her Eternal life, Chic leaves to cherish her sweet, loving memory: mother LueVern Wright-Teamer; sister Daphne D. (Patrick) Teamer-Cook; brothers Willie F. (Stephanie) Teamer, Jr. and Marcus F. (Kimberly) Teamer; uncles William Wright, John Wright and Alvin Wright; aunts Cora Teamer-Thomas and Mildred Teamer-Allen; nieces Jarryn (Jonathan) Robinson-Ellis and Jaylah Robinson; nephews Kyle Jones, Jarred Robinson and Kroix Teamer; a great niece Jhene' Ellis; a special father figure Milton Albritton and a host of relatives and friends. Due to the current health crisis of the Country, a memorial for Chiquita Teamer will be planned for a later date. Your expressions of love and sympathy are greatly appreciated!

My condolences to the Teamer family and friends. I worked with Chiquita at Rooks Pitts for a decade or more. She was a good sister friend and we shared many memories together. I was shocked to hear of her passing. Her smile, laughter and her beautiful eyes will be missed. Her play big brother and I will truly miss her. May she continue to RIH.

Just very sad to hear about Chiquita. She wore the prettiest smile to me, when we met on the South Shore train and became friends. Meeting up with her and the other ladies for good times, long after most of us stopped riding the train, was always fun and much laughter. You rest now, Chiquita, I'll never forget your smile.

My condolences to the family on the passing of Chiquita. I came to know her while working at PNW. She was a friendly and beautiful person. I have now retired but I remember her as if It was yesterday of being in her presence and I’m sure her coworkers will miss her immensely.

Chiquita and I worked together for many years at Purdue Northwest. There's a reason she was named employee of the year. She was a hard worker but always had a smile and would often call on the radio with quips like "Happy Monday, is .... there?" She will be sorely missed, we miss you now.

Chiquita was one of the most beautiful souls I had ever met. She was always so positive and bubbly. Her personality was so infectious that it was hard to be in a bad mood when she was around. When I learned of her passing it was almost as if I was losing a family member. Whenever something went wrong at work, she was the person i would call to make sure the job got done. She will definitely be missed at PNW.

Condolences to the Teamer family. Chiquita was a gentle, strong spirit with a hearty laugh! A sweetheart to those who knew and loved her. She was one of our "South Shore Train Crew" who shared years of drudgery...riding the South Shore train to and from Chicago for work. We made the best of that daily grind! Chiquita made our rides together even more special. Oh, the memories! :-)
So thankful, God allowed our paths to cross.
Forever missing my dear friend...

In all the years I worked with Chiquita at Purdue, I can honestly say we always were in good standings, as she was so easy to work with. But like so many of us do, when we say we will keep in touch and don't, we lose. I will miss her smile and the rapport we had. RIP my friend.

Chiquita was truly a sweetheart, and among the kindest of gentle souls. My daughter would light up at the mention of Ms. Teamer, and referred to her as "her Chiquita." Upon hearing this, Chiquita modestly laughed and told me that "all the little children in her life love her". I would have to add that all the big children did too. You will be missed Chiquita. Rest in peace dear.
