Lloyd "Pete" Ware Sr., was born November 9, 1937 in East Chicago, Indiana. He passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2019 in Phoenix, Arizona. Lloyd graduated from East Chicago Washington High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1954-1960. Because of his love for music he became a popular DJ in East Chicago, Indiana for over 20 years. He relocated to Phoenix, Arizona in 1986 where he worked and retired from the Phoenix Sky-Harbor International Airport in 1999. Preceded in death by his parents, Claude (Bettie) Ware Sr.; sister Lerline, brothers Roy, Claude, Willie, Melvin, Charles; and daughter–in law Rosalyn Joyce. He leave to cherish his memories sons Lloyd Jr., Rodney Sr. Kevin( Rosa) Sr., and Shawn Ware, daughters Robin and Valencia Ware 17 grandchildren and 7 great grandchild and host of in-laws, other relatives and friends. Visitation Saturday, February 9, 2019 from 12 noon to 3:30 p.m. at the Guy & Allen Funeral Chapel 2959 West 11th Avenue.

Lloyd has been on my heart for several weeks; now I know why. Haven't seen him for years, sorry to say,. My heart aches, and I hope to see him again one day. One of the best guys ever at Capital Castings in Chandler. Blessings of peace and comfort to all of his family members.

To Petes family: he touched so many lives in a positive way and truly cared about everyone he met. Working with him at Sky Harbor I saw him bless half the traveling public. There was no one more genuine than Pete. There never will be. I miss him more than I can say. Gods speed my dear dear friend.

I'd like to to give my sincerest condolences to the family of Lloyd Mr Pete Ware. I had the honor of meeting this kind , gentle soul thru social media, Mr Pete was a long time friend of my mother, and I had the pleasure of many great conversations, & advice through this wonderful Brother...... Although we truly are heartbroken st his passing, Mom & I both know that he he is no longer in pain, and that we will see him again. Rest Peacefully, Mr Pete, we have nothing but LOVE for YOU!
