Ollie Mallett Obituary

Ollie Mae Mallett was born December 7, 1937 in Carthage, MS to the late Samuel Mallett and Alice Mae Wilder Mallett. Ollie Mae attended Gary Public Schools and graduated from Froebel High School. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior and was a member of New Friendship Baptist Church. Ollie Mae was a devoted caregiver to both her aunts, Bessie McCoy and Earlean Nash who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death brother Bennie Luckett and Cousin Robert Wilder. On Friday January 27, 2017 Ollie Mae went from labor to reward at Methodist Hospital. Ollie Mae leaves to mourn her passing brother John Luckett, Merrillville, cousin Rodger "Ricky" Smith, Gary, cousins Michael Wilder, MN, and Delta "Rodney" Wilder, Berlin, New Hampshire. Good friend Geraldine (Edgar) Murphy, Erie, Penn., friends James "Jamie" O'Neal and Yvonne Sanders, both of Gary. Visitation Friday Feb. 3, 2017, 9:00 - 11:00 with services immediately following at 11a.m. both at the Guy & Allen Chapel.
