Naomi Millender

Naomi E. Millender was born April 24, 1945 to Dharathula H. Millender & Justyn L. Millender in Terre Haute, IN. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1963. Naomi held a Bachelors and Masters Degree and was also a Pre-Doctoral Candidate. She was initiated into Alpha Eta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Naomi was confirmed into the Lutheran Church early in life and continued in the faith throughout her lifetime. She was a champion of education and held many positions in the field. Naomi was a Musician, Author & Playwright, respectively. On Wednesday, October 31, 2018, Naomi exchanged Time for Eternity. She was preceded in Death by her Parents, Four Uncles, Two Aunts, & One Brother in Law. Naomi leaves to cherish her memory, her Loving Sister, Justine F. Preston; Niece/Goddaughter, Christine Preston; Nephew, Isaac Preston, III; Aunt, Estelle Anderson and a host of cousins & friends. Visitation Sunday November 11, 2018 from 12 noon to 8:00p.m. with family hours 6-8:00 p.m. Ivy Beyond the Wall Ceremony at 7:00p.m. all at the Guy & Allen Chapel. Funeral services Monday November 12, 2018 at 11:00a.m. at the Genesis Center. Interment Evergreen Cemetery.
