Had the pleasure of meeting George a number of times. What a lovely gentle full of life person! I'm sure his wife and family will miss him dearly. Our thoughts and prayers as you grieve the loss of George.

Never met George but work with son, Jim. Jim relayed a story to us that I believe shows George's ingenuity and engineering expertise. It had to do with George buying a circus tent, color-coding the poles, and than taking the family on a camping trip in the station wagon. Sounded like the "camping thing" was short-lived. Again, never knew George personally, but felt like I knew him through Jim's stories. I'm sure there are many memories to go around.

Dear Lamb Family,

I am terribly sorry to hear of your loss. George remains at the center of so many fond memories from my childhood - glorious sailboat rides at dusk on Lake Pepin; viewing countless Minnesota Vikings games on the TV, watching his hands rubbing frantically and expecting smoke to appear at any moment; and whiling away long, carefree summer days on the hammock under that giant shade tree in front of your trailer. And, my goodness, the stories! No one could spin a tale or exaggerate a yarn like George Lamb. I can still hear him laughing before he reaches the punchline of a favorite joke. What a joy it was to spend time, to share laughter, and to witness the remarkable love for life, for family, and for friendship that he wore constantly on his sleeve. I will miss George dearly but am reminded of Thornton Wilder's observation: "The greatest tribute to the dead is not grief, but gratitude." I am grateful for having known George.

Peace,
Steve

I am so sorry to hear of George's passing. I'll always remember the great times I had skiing with George and Ceil on our weekly Blizzard trips. The best was hearing George on the speaker as "Howard Hartzell" announcing the sports happenings of the day. What a wonderful spirit! And, so nurturing to all of us kids. My heart breaks that he is no longer here, but I bet he and my old Dad are laughing right now about the time or two that the bus sped right past us on the highway in Pine Island! My heart is with you all now as you grieve and celebrate his wonderful life.

Dear Lamb family please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. I, Becky have particular found memories of George, especially from my youth on the many ski trips and overnights at the Lamb home. He will be greatly missed and was such a wonderful man.
