Ken Grethen Obituary
Ken was born Nov. 17, 1946, in Iowa, to Edward and Helen (Doyle) Grethen. He was 5 when the Grethen family moved to a farm south of Eyota where Ken grew up and graduated from Dover-Eyota High School on May 28, 1964. He entered the Army, serving in Vietnam.
Ken married his first wife, Donna, while still in the service and together they had one son, Dion. Ken and Donna were later divorced.
Ken spent most of his life after the service in Texas, working with Corian countertops, fishing, spending time with family there and visiting family in Minnesota and Wisconsin most every summer. His next two wives, Eve and Judy, preceded him in death in Texas. Ken was also preceded in death by his mother and father, and brothers, Dean and Norm.
Ken is survived by his wife, DJ; his son, Dion; sisters, Carole and Sonya; brothers, Gene and Dennis; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Ken was cremated in New York and his ashes will be spread in the mountains there by DJ.
