Martin Mares Obituary
Martin "Marty" Mares, age 56, New London died on Wednesday, August 29, 2012, at Appleton Medical Center following a long battle with cancer. Marty was born on November 7, 1955. He attended grade school in Bear Creek and graduated from Clintonville High School. He then attended and graduated from Cardinal Stritch College, Milwaukee. He formerly worked for Kimberly Clark and owned and operated Marty's Bar in New London until his retirement. He also served on the Waupaca County Board.
Marty is survived by his parents, Lloyd and Darlene Mares; his children: Justin Mares, Appleton, Danielle (Derek) Rice, Janesville, their children, Logan and Morgan; Erin Mares, Neenah; and Hunter Mares, Larsen. Brothers: Vincent (Kathy) Mares, Clintonville, Brian (Terrie) Red Granite and Jeff (Jen) Sheboygan; sisters, Kim (Anthony) Morgan, Kimberly and Susan (fiancé Tim Engles) Schroeder and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother Timothy.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bear Creek. Burial will be in the Parish cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.

Sorry for your loss, Marty will truly be missed. I will always remember him for his humor and his big heart. He was a very generous man. It is such a blessing to have known him, and to now know he is with the Lord.
