Kitkowski, Michael "Mike"

Michael J. "Mike" Kitkowski, 46, formerly of Burlington, died unexpectedly from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on Sunday, September 13, 2015 in Appleton, Wisconsin.

He was born in Burlington on September 20, 1968, to Leonard J. and Margery A. (Vande Sand) Kitkowski. He spent his early life in Burlington and lived in many other cities including Milwaukee, Little Chute, Shawano, Kimberly and Appleton. He received his education at St. Mary's Grade School and Burlington High School. Mike enjoyed spending time with family and friends, riding his motorcycle, watching his beloved Green Bay Packers and enjoying an occasional beer or two. Mike's laughter and sense of humor will always be remembered by those that knew and loved him. His children were the highlight of his life and meant everything to him. Mike would have been 47 this coming Sunday.

Surviving are his children: Jason, Cody, John and Brielle; mother, Margery Kitkowski of Madison; sisters, Beth An (Larry) Schulz of Middleton and Sue (Pete) Erickson of Fond du Lac; nephews and niece: Kellan and Carsen Schulz, Brett and Emma Erickson; aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father; brother, Chris, maternal grandparents, Aloysius and Henrietta Vande Sand; and paternal grandparents, Walter and Anna Kitkowski.

The funeral liturgy will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 12:00 PM at SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH, 222 E. Fremont St., Appleton. A time of visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the church. Burial celebration will be held for family at a later date.
