Sandra Meyer Obituary

Meyer, Sandra K. (Boyson)

Sandra K. (Boyson) Meyer, 63, went to her eternal home on Tuesday, May 17, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. Sandy was born on May 23, 1952, the youngest daughter of William and Ila Boyson. She graduated from Neenah High School and married Robert Meyer in October of 1972. Sandy was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Menasha for over 50 years. She especially enjoyed working with her church family on the annual German Fair. Sandy enjoyed flower gardening and card-playing with her many relatives. One of the highlights of her life in recent years was a trip to Florida with her mother and sister. She loved shelling, walking the beach and seeing the luxurious Florida vegetation. Her three grandchildren brought unlimited joy to her life in recent years, and she spent countless hours with them playing games, and keeping them for special sleepovers with grandma and grandpa. In addition, she had a special friend and caregiver, Amber Knaack, who would take her to the Greenville YMCA for swimming, walk with her, and play games. Amber would often bring her little puppy, Cooper, with her to Sandy's great delight.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; their son, Chad (Tania); her 3 precious grandchildren: Brecken, Karlee, and Emery; a sister, Kathy (Chris) Rigotti; a brother-in-law, Steve Meyer, all of Neenah; and nephews: Ryan and Jason Meyer of Menasha.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, William and Ila Boyson; father- and mother-in-law, Gilbert and Florence Meyer; a nephew, Joshua Rigotti; and brother-in-law, Dennis Meyer.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, May 20, 2016, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 300 Broad St, Menasha, with Rev. Steven Billings officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Neenah. Visitation will be held Friday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.

In lieu of flowers and other expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Menasha.

Sandy will always be remembered by her smile until days before she went to her heavenly home.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Affinity Hospice for all the comfort and care they gave Sandy.

Sandy was in our group of friends at NHS and at the Raveno. She was such a fun person. I also worked with her father at the Lakeview Mill until his retirement. May she rest in peace with the rest of her family. My sympathy to Bob and all her family. May God carry you through this sad time.
