Aunt Lulu was very much like her mother, Elizabeth, who also was a beautiful, loved woman who lived to a long life, much of it on Lulu’s farm. Cannot imagine a more beautiful, wonderful combination of mother and child.

Aunt Lulu came to our wedding, and the next day, on a harbor boat cruise, she stood on her head. Very difficult! She was wonderful!

I was a foster child of the Turners from 1968 to 1976, but my name is not Nancy. One of the memories we always laughed about was Mom's speeding ticket. We had traveled to Rhinelander to check on Grandma Wiles' house, and on the way back, she got pulled over and issued a citation for speeding. When asked what I had learned, I said, "Never leave the house without your checkbook." We had many laughs over that. Many memories of Mom over the eight years. She was a wonderful person.

When I was a boy, my dad, Philip (Lulu's younger brother), would drive us to Wisconsin and we would visit with the Turners. It was fun, and Lulu was the ultimate hostess, spreading love and joy.
She flew to San Diego for my wedding, in 1983, and we took her out on a boat in the ocean, and she stood on her head!! Quite a sight on a boat rolling around in the ocean!
And the rest of the family is just like her, full of good will and love. We are blessed to have known her and to be part of her extended family.
