Susan Christianson Obituary
Neenah - Susan Marie Christianson, age 74, passed away of pancreatic cancer with her family by her side on April 11, 2021.
Sue was born February 10, 1947, to the late Warren and Betty Humblet Ullman. She was united in marriage to Barry Palmer Christianson on June 12, 1965 (56 years!) Sue is survived by her husband Barry, her brother Chuck (Kathy) Ullman, her sisters Linda (Dave) Ratajczak; Jeanne (Eugene) Buckarma; Teresa Ullman; brothers-in-law Peter Christianson and Steve Friedrich, sisters-in- law Adele (Melvin) Mathison, and Coral (Dick) Anderson of Colorado.
Sue was lovingly known as the Captain of the family. She was always in charge! Sue loved Elvis, giraffes, and Marco Island, Florida.
Sue volunteered for 36 years at Theda Clark in the gift shop, where she shared, love, class, and expertise. She also worked in the Theda Clark prep department admissions for nine years. She worked with her husband for 13 years in the family business, Barry's Siding and Trim, where her excellent choices guided many of his better decisions. Sue was on the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity and the Henrietta Apartments in Winchester.
Sue was preceded in death by her daughter Laurie Ann (Christianson) Puetz, her mom and dad, sister Jane Sperling, nephew Kenny Ratajczak, and her sisters-in-law Laura Friedrich and Karen Christianson.
Special thanks to Jennifer and Jeanie for always being there for Sue and Barry throughout this ordeal.
Sue wanted flowers sent to her before she passed so she could see them, so rather than sending flowers, please make a donation to one of the following organizations: ThedaCare At Home or Theda Clark Regional Cancer Center.
Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday, April 23, 2021, from 5 - 7 pm at Kessler Funeral Home (304 S. Commercial Street, Neenah, WI 54956). Visitation continues Saturday, April 24, 2021, from 12 to 1 pm. The funeral will begin at 1 pm at Our Saviors Lutheran Church (809 S. Commercial Street, Neenah).
