EILEEN DOBBINS Obituary
Heaven welcomed one of it's finest today. Eileen Dobbins, known to many as "Lynn", passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 22, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Mark Dobbins; loving mother of Lisa D. (Joseph) Knodle, Mark Dobbins and Kimberly Dobbins; dear sister of the late Robert Burns; cherished grandmother of Joseph Ross "JR" Knodle. Eileen was born in 1926, in Detroit, MI, where she spent her early years working for the Ford Motor Co. She then embarked on an exciting career as a vocalist for the big bands of the day. Eileen entertained many a room with her beautiful voice and later even toured with the U.S.O. After marrying and settling in the Pittsburgh area with her three children, Eileen went to work for the Upper St. Clair School District where she was a fixture for 42 years. She loved working amongst the students and made many lifelong friends. Eileen was also an active member of her community and church and was loved and admired by all who knew her. She had a beauty, wit and grace that would light up any room. Her strength, spirit and smile were just a few of her signature trademarks. She was the heart and soul of her family and her absence will leave an unfillable void. Funeral arrangements by BEINHAUERS. Dear Dobbins children Lisa, Kim,and Mark,
I was so shocked and sad to hear much later the news of your special dear Mother's passing. I knew her as a neighbor, valuable USC high school staffer, and friend. Quite a lady in many ways!!!She was surely a special lady who was admired by all whose lives she touched, including myself.

Our sincere condolences on the passing of your mom. Lynn was an elegant, graceful, kind lady. I shared 36 years working w/ her.
I loved the fact she could boogie better than the rest of us. May she serenade the angels now. She will be sorely missed.

Lisa, Mark & Kim, extending our deepest sympathy on the loss of your beloved mother. We hold such fond memories of our family get togethers over the years growing up. I am so saddened by the news of Eileen's passing. I had the pleasure of being one of her nurses and she quickly became very special to me. I will deeply miss our talks and her sharing her memories with me. I will miss the times we would just sit quietly together and I would just hold her hand or rub her head. I loved her spunk and how she knew exactly what she wanted and how she wanted things done. She always made me chuckle. My deepest sympathy goes out to her family and my prayers that now you can be assured that she has the very best of care in God's loving arms.

Lynn was one of the most caring and kind people I have ever had the privilege to have worked with,both at Fort Couch and USC High School. She always had a smile and enjoyed working at the school. My condolences go out to the family. Lynn will be missed. Joe

I knew Mrs. Dobbins when I was a student at USCHS and then later as her colleague when I taught at Fort Couch. Each time I asked how her day was going, Mrs. Dobbins always replied with a positive & upbeat answer. This is was a great example to me. My deepest sympathy to your entire family.
