VIRGINIA DOWNEY Obituary
Surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, July 29, 2013, age 67, of Greenfield. Beloved wife of the late Bryan W. "Tiny" Downey; cherished mother of Heather L. (Joe) Finnegan and Melissa A. Hill; "grammy" of Jacob, Jonah, Kaitlyn, Connor, and Erin; loving sister of Millie Litsko, Sandy (Gene) Vilsack, Andrea Maxwell, John (Donna) Litsko, Tony (Cyndi) Litsko, and Michelle Tierno; also survived by nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Thursday 2-4, 6-8 p.m. in the EDWARD P. KANAI FUNERAL HOME, 500 Greenfield Ave. Funeral Friday at 9:30 a.m. followed by Funeral Mass in St. Rosalia Church at 10:00 a.m. If so desired, the family suggests donations to St. Rosalia Food Bank, or Autism Speaks Pittsburgh.

Ginny and Tiny were our favorite customers at Eat n"Park sq hill.I haven't seen them in 16 years but none the less I will always miss them and will be in my heart!!! Rest in peace Tiny and Ginny....

Sandy and family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I met Ginny a few times and she was sweet and always had a beautiful smile on her face. I know you will miss her, but your memories will live on in your hearts. You will all be in my prayers.

Dear Heather and Family:
I am deeply saddened by the news of your mother's passing. I hope that you can find strength and comfort in the love of your family and friends. Ginny was a wonderful friend to all and I am going to miss talking with her. I am very blessed for having had the opportunity of being a part of her life. She brightened many lives with her smile and laughter and her care and kindness. She was a true giver and people like her just don't exist anymore.
