Of North Versailles, age 70, on Wednesday, August 8, 2018. Beloved husband of Sharon (Moon) Loughner; loving father of Michelle Ann Loughner, Walter John (Lisa) Loughner and Janice (Ron Dancisin) Loughner; grandfather of Tiffany Dixon, Corin Loughner, Dylan Jackson, Nathan Loughner, Hadley Dancisin and Justin Niehl; great-grandfather of Shane; brother of Willamina (Paul) Speck, Donald (Tammy) Loughner, Esther (Leo) Bankage, Ronnie (Joy) Loughner and Ellen (Tom) Haney. Preceded in death by his brother, the late Marvin Loughner and his sister, the late Vivian Shearer. Walt was an employee in the maintenance department of East Allegheny School District and he was a life member and volunteer fireman with the Dixon Hollow Fire Department in North Versailles. Walt loved his garden and shared his vegetables with his neighbors and co-workers. He also loved to tinker with and repair small engines. Walt even designed and crafted his own tractor from scrap materials and made his own aluminum can crusher, among other mechanical devices. Friends are welcome on Saturday, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the PATRICK T. LANIGAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC., 700 Linden Ave. at Cable, East Pittsburgh, PA 15112, 412-824-8800 where a Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, at 8 p.m.
