Was extremely saddened that I never had the opportunity to visit with AUNT ANN and have missed the opportunity to do so. I will keep her in my prayers and am sure we'll visit another time and place.

Sending my deepest sympathies to your whole family and wishing you peace at this sad time. Your mom was always so kind and cheery, and she was a wonderful cook, too! She'll be missed.

Dear Mrs. Lubas,
I wanted to write a note to express my love and admiration for you throughout my life. Of course, knowing that you are now in the grace and presence of God is comforting. The times that I spent with you and your family will forever be a happy memory in my heart.
I think about the days when I was just a little girl running around your house. I always felt welcomed and loved by you and enjoyed every minute of silliness that seemed to be the permanent mood at the Lubas haus. I giggle when I think about how often I heard you say “You kids are crazy!!” as we continued to do whatever it was we were doing.
I always admired your talents as an artist. You could make just about anything more beautiful - whether it was a wreath, a birthday cake, or a pair of flip flops!! I knew it was made with love and care. It had that extra something special that only you could create.
And need I mention your delicious cooking? I can't even begin to tell you how much I looked forward to an invitation to eat dinner (or any meal) dahn ‘na Rocks. Heck, I have so many fond memories of Christmas and any old time spent with the Lubas family. You were always right there in the living room taking it all in….with a big smile on your face.
Lastly, you raised four great kids whose love for you was never ending. How lucky to be a mom surrounded by children who showered you with love and support throughout your entire life. As a single parent, you were able to do it all….. I don't know anyone else who could have juggled as much as you did with such grace and ease.
I have said on many occasions, I want to be just like Mrs. Lubas when I grow up. You were never afraid to travel and experience the world at an age when most were content to stay at home. I hope to have that kind of spirit and adventure when I am in my “golden years”.
God Bless you Mrs. Lubas. I will miss seeing you and will think of you often. I am so grateful to you and your family for making my life so wonderful…. So many memories filled with laughter, love, fun, and good food. What else could a girl ask for? I am blessed to have known you.
Love and peace,
Naomi Yeskey
PS - Please let Miriam and my mom know that I miss them dearly. I know I will see them again someday. I pray for their continued guidance here on earth.
Give a BIG kiss to Buttons, Winston, Toby, and Honeygirl for me too!

I'm sorry for your loss. Nothing was mentioned about the millions of cookies she made, and all the ladylocks she must have filled. I'm so sorry, she was one of the nice ladies on Gardner Street.
