WILLIAM L.
Of Linesville, formerly of North Irwin, died at home Wednesday, October 10, 2012. He was born July 27, 1930, in North Irwin, a son of the late Walter and Mary (Girard) Plank and was also preceded in death by siblings, Alfred "Bud" Plank, Dorothy (Plank) Rain, and Walter "Jr." Plank. He was a retired employee of Plank Trucking, a member of First United Methodist Church, Irwin, Shidle Lodge No. 610, F. &A.M., Irwin, and a charter member of the Foothills Sportsman's Club. Surviving is a brother, Edward Plank of North Huntingdon; brother-in-law George Rain; sister-in-law, Dolores Plank; and many nieces and nephews, including George (Millie) Rain and Mary Lou (Ralph) Kimmel; many great-nieces and nephews, including Cristi, Christopher, and Stephanie Kimmel, and Michelle (Jim) Ogg; also his special buddy, "Mickey". Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the WILLIAM SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200, where a Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday with Rev. David S. Lake, officiating. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery. A Masonic funeral service will be held Friday evening in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a contribution may be made to the Westmoreland County Food Bank, 100 Devonshire Dr., Delmont, PA 15626.
