Aggie was like a second mom to all us guys that grew up in the 50s and 60s on the corner of 54th and Carnegie St. She kept a close eye on us from her front porch to make sure we didn’t get into too much trouble, and I’m sure that is one of the reasons we basically all turned out alright.
I’m really glad I took a chance that she was still at the house on Carnegie St., and stopped by to see her about a year ago. It had been more than 20 years since I had seen her last, but she hadn’t changed a bit. She was as bubbly and feisty as ever and we spent a wonderful hour sharing memories.
It makes me so sad to know she is gone. She was a wonderful and energizing person. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
