In working with Stewart Way and Joe Lance on the Westinghouse MHD project, I became aware of Bela Karlovitz's work and publications in the Combustion Institute. Great to hear he made it to 99.

As a young Westinghouse Research Lab engineer working on Magnetohydrodynamics in the 1960s, I learned of Mr. Karlovitz's first-of-a-kind Magnetohydrodynamic Generator experiments in the 1930s. His work was inspiring and I always wished I had met him.
