To the entire Pinyot Family:
I send my sympathies to the family. Ed was a good friend and we spent many lunch hours together and we also worked together for many years. Ed was the chief design engineer and I was very proud to work along side Ed for many years. After Ed and I retired we lost contact for a time but every once in a while we would run into one another in Penn Hills and talk about old times. I live in Texas now with my wife and three daughters. Again, sorry for your loss. I will miss my friend but will think of him to bring back good memories.
Sincerely:
Fred Beattie

Dear Claire, Lorraine and Trish- I am so sorry for your loss. Ed was a wonderful person, a gifted father and an uber-engineer. He was a lucky man to have a wonderful wife, a loving son and his daughters in his life. His sense of humor, cool personality and superior intelligence are a rare combination. Please know that I have and will continue to keep you all in my thoughts.

PINYOT FAMILY: ED WAS A GOOD FRIEND, COMPANION, AND JUST A OVERALL GOOD MAN. I LOST TOUCH WITH ED THE LAST FOUR OR FIVE YEARS, INQUIRED WITH SOME OF OUR LOCAL FRIENDS. I HVE MISSED HIM, AND WILL STILL MISS HIM MORE. WE WORKED TOGETHER FOR YEARS, EVEN TIMES WITH TRISH, MY SYMPATHY GOES OUT TO THE ENTIRE PINYOT FAMILY. GOD BLESS YOU.
