Of North Braddock, age 83, on Sunday, May 23, 2004. Zip was a WWII Navy veteran with a rank of Chief Petty Officer and he was a retired brakeman from the Union Railroad. Husband of Lora M. (Oberdick) and the late Jay (Opalsky). Father of Toni Ungaretti (husband, Bob) of MD. and Gemma Pack (husband, Micky) of MD. Stepfather of David Mospan (wife, Lisa) of KY. and Janet Maloney (husband, Dave) of North Versailles. Grandfather of Jan Houck (husband, Josh) and Ryan Ungaretti; Lindsay and Halley Pack; and David, Jeffrey, Dylan and Brittany Mospan. Great-grandfather of Giana Houck and David Mospan. Brother of Toni Oberdick and Louis Burdell, both of North Braddock. Friends may call Tues. and Wed. from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at PATRICK T. LANIGAN FUNERAL HOME, 700 Linden Avenue At Cable, East Pgh., (412-824-8800). Mass of Christian Burial in St. William Church of Holy Cross Parish on Thursday at 10 am. Burial with Military Honors in Braddock Catholic Cemetery.
