73, on Thursday, August 04, 2011 in Presbyterian University Hospital, of Greensburg. Born on February 18, 1938 in Clairton, Pennsylvania, the son of William and Francis Vecchio Covelle DeChicchis. He was the Owner of Reliable Auto Repair and ABC Auto Wreckers in Greensburg; a member of the Blessed Sacrament Cathedral and a lifetime member of Fox Hill Athletic Association. Husband of Kathleen S. Painter Mayo DeChicchis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Cynthia Ann DeChicchis; and a sister, Lois Rhome. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of forty-one years, Kathleen S. Painter Mayo DeChicchis; nine children, Cheryl DeChicchis and Paul DeChicchis (Debbie) of Pittsburgh, Brian DeChicchis (Aurora) of Oceanside, CA, Richard DeChicchis (Rikki Sterf), Jill Sterba (Randy), Wendy DeChicchis, Jeff Mayo (Pam), Michelle Mayo Bianco, and Shawn Mayo (Robin) all of Greensburg; a special a grandson Nathaniel Aaron, who was raised by his grandparents, an adopted grandson, Joseph Pees; twenty-one grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a sister, Josephine DeChicchis of Lake Orion, MI; three brothers, Rumaldo and James DeChicchis of Greensburg and Joseph DeChicchis and wife Giavonnia of Monongahela; a Goddaughter, Desiree Medina of McKeesport; many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and numerous friends.
