WILLA PINYOT Obituary

PINYOT WILLA RITA (O'DONNELL)

A youthful 89, of Cranberry Township, passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2018. Rita led a life devoted to family, friends, and church; was an avid volunteer; loved traveling with the love of her life, Ernie; and is well-known for sharing her deep love for God with everyone she met. She believed in Romans 10:9-10 that only through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and by His grace, can one enjoy eternity in Heaven. We are so thankful to have been blessed to have Rita as our beloved wife, mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, mentor, friend, and #1 cheerleader. Rita is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Ernest Pinyot; daughter Denise (Patrick) Perry, and grandchildren Stephen (Julia), Hannah, and Rachel Perry, and great-grandchildren Isabel and James; daughter Laurie (Jim) Cunningham, and grandson Jimmy; son David (Mary) Pinyot, and grandchildren Nick, Lacy, Brandon, Rachel (Kuhu), Russell, and Robyn (Colby); son Stephen (Christine) Pinyot, and granddaughters Emily and Catherine; son Jeff (Ruth) Pinyot, and grandchildren Christopher, Caroline, Jonathan, and Justin; her dear sister Marilyn Colosmo, brother-in-law Don (Karen) Ries; many nieces and nephews whom she loved; and so many dear friends met from wonderful church communities like St. Bonaventure, North Hills Christian Church, Moody Church, Christ Church at Grove Farm, and Dutilh UMC; neighbors, bridge partners, decades of volunteering buddies, Peabody High School alum, Sherwood Oaks friends, and many more. The dreaded pancreatic cancer couldn't crush Rita's spirit. She looked forward to this next step, and couldn't wait to be with Jesus, Billy Graham, and loved ones gone before, including her dear mother, Willa, and father, Patrick O'Donnell; sister, Noreen (Gerald) Burkhart; brother, Patrick (Ellen) O'Donnell; nephew, Danny Colosmo; in-laws, Tom Colosmo, Dolores Ries, and Edward (Adrija) Pinyot. Her family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Sherwood Oaks, AHN Healthcare At Home, and friend Loretta Lippert who lovingly cared for her in her last weeks. Friends and family are invited to a memorial service on Sunday, August 5, at 3:00 p.m. at Christ Church at Grove Farm, 249 Duff Rd., Sewickley, PA 15143. In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome to one of Rita's favorite ministries: Urban Impact, uifpgh.org/join-us/donate, 801 Union Ave., 4th Floor, Pittsburgh, PA 15212. Dear Ernie, Denise and Family,
Rita was my very first teacher in many, many ways. Not only my English tutor (the best of all) but she gave me guidance when I was learning my way through life in Chicago. She has a very special place in my heart and I will love her forever. As I am sure you know you have been blessed by having such a wonderful and unique person in your life and I thank you for sharing her with us. God bless you all.

Denise and family, you have my very deepest sympathy in the loss of your dear mother. But, I also rejoice with you in the knowledge that at long last, she is reunited with loved ones and most importantly, with Jesus!
