LEHNEKE WILLIAM ARTHUR
Age 69, of Mt. Pleasant, SC died on Wednesday, October 28, 2015. He was born on Monday, September 16, 1946, in McKeesport, PA to the late Mrs. Elda Lehneke and the late Mr. Arthur W. Lehneke. William was a parishioner and Eucharistic Minister of St. Stephens Catholic Church in Winter Springs, FL. He was an Army Specialist, a steel mill machinist, and an entrepreneur before having a long-term career as an auto technician. Once retired, William enjoyed playing tennis and pickle ball. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Lisa Lehneke, Mt. Pleasant, SC; sisters, Janet Artman, Patricia Schmittle, Judy Randolph (deceased); brothers, Ken Lehneke, James Lehneke; four children, Brian Lehneke, Jonathan Lehneke, Mary Beth Lehneke, and Amanda Byrnside; eight grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 5, 2015 from, to 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at WORRELL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 820 Main St., Sharpsburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Madonna of Jerusalem Catholic Church on Friday, November 6, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his honor to MUSC Foundation Hollings Cancer Center Research Fund, 86 Jonathan Lucas Street, MSC 955, Charleston, SC 29425.
