WILLIAM OBERSCHELP Obituary
Age 84, of McMurray, on Friday, September 26, 2014. Beloved husband of Virginia Oberschelp; loving father of Pamela (Doug) Wilson, Jeff (Pam) Oberschelp, Mike (Kathy) Oberschelp, Lynne (Joe) Gianoni, Robert Oberschelp and Kathleen (Scott) Shaw; dear brother of the late Marilyn Seymour and Marie Struckhoff; cherished grandfather of 16 grandchildren; and one great- granddaughter. Bill was a Korean War Army veteran, he was a retired executive of Cooper Industries, and was an active member of St. Benedict the Abbot Church. He was a lifelong Cardinals fan and loved to travel, but his greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family, especially the annual vacation in Hilton Head. Funeral arrangements by BEINHAUERS. Friends welcome at 2828 Washington Rd., McMurray, PA 15317, 724-941-3211, Monday 5-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. in St. Benedict the Abbot Church. It is hard to believe that it has been so long since Bill’s passing. In some way or another, my wife and I think about him every day. He was always very special to us and was one of the best friend and mentor that I could have ever had in business. He will always be in my memories.

Dear Ginny and the entire Oberschlep family, Ruth and I were so sad to hear of Bill's passing. Bill was responsible for bring me to the McGraw Edison/Cooper family and I never forgot that nor his advise and wisdom over the years. We will miss him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Ginny,
I was saddened to learn of Bill's passing. Happened to run into Fr. Bob who told me. I have such fond memories of this wonderful man who always offered me support in my role as pastor at St. Benedict. We didn't know Bill well, but it is obvious what a devoted family man he was. The little time that we spent with him was delightful. Rest in Peace Bill. A life well lived deserves a seat in the house of the Lord. May the Lord's peace be with your family at this very difficult time.

I remember Bill Oberschelp as a compassionate man who loved his family and treated everyone with respect and dignity. As a new employee at Cooper Power Systems, he helped me when I needed help and was very giving of his time to encourage and assist me with any problem I was having. I later came to consider Bill a true friend.
May he now be with God and rest in peace.
