BARBARA JEAN (MALONEY)
77, of Parma Heights, OH Beloved wife of the late William F. Fitzgerald, who passed away in April 1984; devoted mother of Diann Vajskop (Matthew) of Parma, OH, Carol Dunning (Mark) of Strongsville, OH, and John Fitzgerald (Christine) of Strongsville, OH; loving grandmother of Heather, Stephen, Rachel, Colin, Alexander, Melissa, Sean, and Joel; dear sister of Edward Maloney, Jr. (Gladys, deceased), Richard Maloney (Ethel), the late Elizabeth O'Neil (Tom, deceased) and the late Eileen Joyce (Pete, deceased); sister-in-law of Richard Fitzgerald (Patricia), Charles Fitzgerald (Joan), Marilyn Fitzgerald, Robert Fitzgerald, Geraldine Jones (John), Edward Fitzgerald, and the late James Fitzgerald; aunt of numerous nieces and nephews. Barbara was born in Pittsburgh in 1935 to Ella McManus and Edward Maloney. Barbara's family wishes to thank the staff of the Altenheim for their compassionate care for the past four plus years. Barbara passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2013. Memorial contributions may be forwarded to the Altenheim, 18627 Shurmer Road, Strongsville, OH 44136. Prayer Service at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at Noon, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 p.m. at St. John Bosco Catholic Church, 6480 Pearl Road, Parma Heights, OH 44130. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Brook Park, OH. The family will receive friends at the BUSCH FUNERAL HOME, 7501 Ridge Road, Parma, OH, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, October 7, 2013. 440-842-7800.

Dear Diann and Matt, Carol and Mark, John and Christine. I truly wanted to be there today but health issues are preventing my attendance for Barbara's homecoming. I love you all and I know that Barbara would definitely understand. God bless you all and I pray that God heals your hearts with comfort and peace during this difficult time in your lives. I will never forget my dear friend and will always love her.

Dear Diann, Carol, John, Matt, Mark and Christine. I am so saddened to hear of Barbara's death. I worked with Barbara many years at Turner Construction Company and we became best of friends. I know how close she was to all of you. She loved you all so deeply. May God comfort you all and bless you with his love, comfort and peace. I will see her on the "other side". Barbara has been and always will be in my heart forever.

I worked with her at Turner Construction years ago but always enjoyed being around her.

Dear Diann, Carol, John, Matt, Mark and Christine my condolences on the loss of your Mom. It is God taking care of her now and she joins my favorite Brother, Bill. They truly were best friends and Barbara always had a smile on her face and you just knew how much they loved one another. Sorry I won't be able to attend the services.
