BERNARD SWEER Obituary
On Saturday, November 23, 2013. Beloved husband for 66 years to Grace Fried Sweer; cherished father of Dr. Leon (Karen) Sweer and Susan (Larry) Rooner; brother of the late Irving Sweer and the late Frank Sweer; grandfather of Ryan, Kevin, Jordan, and Kaily Sweer, and Daniel and Adam Rooner; also survived by nieces and nephews. Mr. Sweer was a veteran of World War II in the U.S. Army. He practiced as an attorney in Pittsburgh for over 50 years. Services at RALPH SCHUGAR CHAPEL, INC., 5509 Centre Avenue, Shadyside, on Tuesday at 1 p.m. Visitation one hour prior to services ( Noon - 1 p.m.). Interment Beth Shalom Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Sivitz Jewish Hospice, 200 JHF Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15217 or Make-A-Wish Foundation, 707 Grant Street, 37th Floor, Pittsburgh, PA 15219 or to a local food bank of your choice.

I just learned of the passing of Mr. Sweer. I enjoyed working with him and my legal education was enhanced because of him. My thoughts and prayers are with Grace and the family.
