REGINA MARY
Age 85, beloved mother of William H. and Louann Baker of Salinas, CA, Paul L. and Karen Baker of Keller, TX, and Cynthia B. and Marc Giroux of Corning, NY, passed peacefully on April 14, 2014, surrounded by family at home. She leaves five grandchildren, Bradley (wife, Marisa), Lydia, Jessica (Jimmy Walker), Rebecca (fiancé Jamey Snodgrass), and Mallory; as well as two great-grandchildren, Hailey Marie and Colton Chase; sister, Betty Mueller; brother, Leo Luebbert; many nieces and nephews; dearest friend ,Lois; travel companions, Nancy, Bernie, Patti, and Margie; and many beloved friends. Regina was preceded in death by her loving husband, William H. Baker, Jr. in 1982; her sister, Fran Petrusky; and brother, Larry Luebbert. Regina's life was full of family and many friends from Pittsburgh and Texas. She was an avid bridge player and excellent at hand crafts. Regina was also active in her community. Having been a bookkeeper/accountant, she took on the role of treasurer for Glenshaw Century Club for many years and was active in the annual Christmas house tour. She was a member of St. John Newmann's Church in Franklin Park, PA, where she was an usher and co-leader of the St. John Newmann Society helping other parishioners in need. Ever willing to be of service, Regina was a volunteer at UPMC Passavant Hospital for 14 years. After moving to Texas in 2007, Regina was active in the Southlake Senior Center, playing bridge and then serving as treasurer for the Southlake Senior Funding, Inc. as well as chairman of the Greater Grapevine Newcomers Club Marathon Bridge Group. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, April 25, 2014, at 12 noon at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 2016 Willis Lane, Keller, TX. Inurnment will take place in her hometown of Elliott in Pittsburgh, PA at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Meals on Wheels of Tarrant County, 320 S. Freeway, Fort Worth, TX 76104 (www.mealsonwheels.org) or to a charity of one's choice.
