Age 75, of Monroeville, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2017. Beloved wife of James Farren; loving mother of Scott (Donna) Baird, John Baird, Beth (Ron) Amato, Shelly Farren, James (Biyun) Farren, Jr. and Tracey (Saawan) Jones; sister of Fred Hintemeyer and the late Ralph "Bunky" Hintemeyer and Lee Hintemeyer; grandmother of 15. Maddy was a cook by trade her entire life, ending her career working with her daughter, Shelly at Shelly Pie Pizza in Turtle Creek. Friends will be received Saturday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Sunday 2-6 p.m. at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC. (MONROEVILLE / PLUM CHAPEL), corner of (445) Beatty Rd. and 48 North, Monroeville (412-856-4747), where a service will be Monday, 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Restland Memorial. My deepest condolences to the Baird/Farren family, you are all in our thoughts and prayers. Madeline was an absolutely awesome person, a terrific mother who also did so much for the kids in the neighborhood, including me; she was always generous with sincere care for the well being of family and friends. I was fortunate to know her and still thankful for the two cooking jobs she helped me get during my college years.

I have so many fond memories of Madeline, at the house/pool and especially working with her at the Penn Monroe. She taught me a lot and was like a second mom to me. She will be missed greatly. All of our sympathy to the Farren/Baird family.
