Amy Smothers Obituary
Amy Marie Smothers was born June 3, 1966 to Ann Elizabeth Slattery Smothers and Terry Alan Smothers in Iowa City, Iowa.
Amy is survived by her parents, son Hudson Fredric Coccoluto, former husband, Gary Charles Coccoluto, sister, Jennifer (Ron) Brida and children Colin Miller and Logan Miller, brother Anthony (Joan Spahn) Smothers and children Lauren, Jacob, Olivia and Claire Smothers. Eight Aunts, Nine Uncles, Eighteen cousins and a large extended family she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert and Berniece Smothers and Thomas and Bessie Slattery and one uncle, Kevin Robert Smothers.
A Celebration of Life gathering for family and friends will be from 3 to 7PM, Tuesday, May 23rd at The Kirkwood Room, 515 Kirkwood Ave, Iowa City (next to Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service). Amy has donated her body to the Deeded Body Program, Department of Anatomy, The University of Iowa. Amy suggested planting a tree or anything that grows in memory of her or a charity of choice.

I worked with Ann years ago, and though I never had the privilege of meeting Amy, I am sure she was as lovely as her mother is. Your loss is heart breaking, and I send my deepest sympathies to all of you. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Ann,Terry and family,
How sad is your deep loss of your lovely Amy........she was a precious little blonde haired 3 year old,the first time I met you all.....a true joy from Jesus !!!
