Donald Brown Obituary

Brown, Donald F.

Donald F. Brown, 85 went to be with the Lord at Wilson Hospital on January 7, 2014. He was predeceased by his son, Aaron Brown. Don is survived by is wife of fifty-four years, Pat Freshour Brown of Binghamton; three granddaughters, nieces and nephews. He was an active of Trinity Memorial Episcopal Church, a former Vestry member and designed lunch programs for the parish. He worked with Edwin Link at Singer Link as a designer engineer. He was an Eagle Scout and was part of the Scouting program of his church for many years as well as Camp Tuscarora. He was a former Town of Fenton Engineer and a certified surveyor. He was a member of Binghamton Lodge #177 F. & A. M. He loved theatre, old movies and was a member of the Cider Mill for fifty years. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10:30am at the Trinity Memorial Episcopal Church, 44 Main Street, Binghamton with The Rev. David A. Drebert, Rector of his church, officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday 9:30 until 10:30am in the Hoyt Room at the church. The family would like to thank the staff at Wilson ICU for their excellent care. Arrangements are through the DeMunn Funeral Home, 36 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton.

Only grandpa I've ever had, only one I would ask for. His sense of humor was subtle but brilliant. I saw him in my dad, and after my dad passed away I saw my dad in him. He was a patient and gentle man.
