Donna McCain Obituary
The Honorable Donna Tanner McCain, 78, of Apalachin, passed away on April 23, 2015. She was predeceased by her parents, A. Lavern and Lelia (Stone) Tanner of Apalachin; husband, William F. McCain; and son, Marshall Bruce MacIvor Jr. Donna is survived by her daughter, Laurie (Ron) MacIvor Labelle; son, Daniel Tanner MacIvor; grandson, Tanner William MacIvor; sister, Ardyce (Stephen) Long; stepchildren, Deborah (Rick) Savage and Holly (Scott) Robinson; and step-grandchildren, Suzanna Gracyk and Christy Beth Robinson. Donna graduated from Vestal Senior High School and was employed by Singer-Link in Binghamton. Donna was a member of the New Hampshire State Legislature and was very involved with local and national politics. The family would like to thank Larry Rafferty for being a caring and loving neighbor to our mother. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Donna's name to the Apalachin Fire & Rescue, PO Box 572, Apalachin, NY 13732 or New Life Ministries, 201 Hill Avenue, Endicott, NY 13760. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the Riverside Cemetery, Marshland Road, Apalachin.

Donna was a neighbor and friend since living on Cousins Road, Stamford, Ct. She was a beautiful mother to Laurie and Danny, and Laurie was my daughter's first best friend. She called to tell me of Donna's passing for which I am very sad, but grateful for knowing a very special woman.

Donna was a wonderful person, who I got to know during her time living in Boscawen. After many years of losing touch, I was able to reconnect with her a couple years ago, which was a blessing to reminisce with her as well as catch up on our lives! A special friendship! My condolences to Laurie and Dan, and family.
