David B. Smith
of Endicott
David B. Smith, 61, of Endicott, passed away Saturday morning. March 18, 2006, at Wilson Memorial Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents, John R. and Ruby M. Smith; and one brother, Richard Smith. He is survived by his partner, Janet Chilson, Endicott; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Heather and Barry Livsky, Binghamton, Carleen Rice, Endicott, Holly and Norman Whittemore, Newark Valley, Melissa Smith, Ithaca; nine grandchildren, Sophie, Hayden, Courtney, Cody, Tarraha, Kristina, Kaleb, Jared, and Dannie; one sister, Judy Thomas, Johnson City; a sister-in-law, Mary Smith; his extended family, Perry and Janine Cooley and family, Paul and Shawn O'Connor and family, Edward and Jill O'Connor and family, Dan and Julie Chilson and family; also several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church, Endwell. David was an employee of Broome Developmental Center, having directed a group home in Waverly, N.Y.
Funeral services will be held at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 731 Hooper Rd., Endwell, Wednesday, 11 a.m. The Rev. James H. Walck, Pastor of his church will officiate. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endicott. The family will receive friends at the church Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of services. Those wishing may make memorial contributions to Our Saviour Lutheran Church Building Fund, 731 Hooper Rd., Endwell, N.Y. 13760 in David B. Smith's memory. Arrangements are by the J. F. Rice Funeral Home, Inc., 150 Main St., Johnson City, N.Y.
