Joseph L. Mastronardi
of Binghamton
Joseph L. Mastronardi, 81, of Binghamton, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 18, 2007, at his home. He was predeceased by his great-grandson, Dante Zezzo; sister, Bernice Walsh; and brother, Daniel Mastronardi. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Elsie (Polosky) Mastronardi, Binghamton; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Donald Zezzo, Gaithersburg, Md.; son and daughter-in-law, Louis and Maureen Mastronardi, Vestal; grandchildren, Anthony and Georgana Zezzo, Piermont, N.Y., Nicole and Matthew Woodward, Alexandria, Va., Joseph and Asheley Mastronardi, Thousand Oaks, Calif., Christina Zezzo and Anthony Spano, Rockville, Md.; great-grandson, Arturo Zezzo; brothers and sisters, Hilda Dacey, Florida, Gino and Jenny Martin, Florida, George Mastronardi, Binghamton, Marinetta Bertram, Arizona, Helen and Richard Hapeman, North Carolina; also nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins; and special neighbors, Betty Ferranti, Jeanette and Bob Davidson. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the Army. Joseph was a printer in the area for over 30 years; a member of the Sons of Italy Lodge #487; and St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Binghamton.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at the Barber Memorial Home, Inc., 428 Main Street, Johnson City, at 8:45 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 37 Fayette Street, Binghamton, where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at the Barber Memorial Home. Donations in his memory may be made to the charity of one's choice.
