Madeline J. Hurlburt
of North Fenton
Madeline J. Hurlburt, age 79, passed away on Monday, February 21, 2005, at her home. She was predeceased by her husband, Rex Hurlburt; and grandson, Lance Bronson. She is survived by children, Bonnie Bronson, Barbara Lewis and Jim Baker, Sue and Burnie Walling, Rex and Beverly Hurlburt; grandchildren, Kyle, Kent, and Kenna Bronson, Randy, Scott, and Mike Lewis, Kim and Tony Walling, Donna Scuorzo, Derek and Justin Hurlburt; great-grandchildren, Danielle Odorico, Kellsea, Adam and McKenzie Bronson, Kaila and Autumn Bronson, Tyler, Corey, and Ashlyn LaClair, Conner, Parker, and Olivia Lewis, Stephanie and Max Scuorzo, Alexa and Nicholas Walling; two brothers and three sisters-in-law, Gary and Carolyn Babcock, Chuck and Mary Babcock, and Angie Babcock; many nieces and nephews; and loving Babcock and Hurlburt families. Madeline also leaves many good friends and neighbors in the community. Madeline retired after many years of dedicated service at Chenango Forks School District. She was a dedicated member of North Fenton United Methodist Church, and a member of North Fenton Senior Citizens.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Root Funeral Home with Rev. Patricia Olmstead of North Fenton United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Sylvan Lawn Cemetery in the spring. Calling hours are Thursday, 4 to 7 p.m., at Root Funeral Home, 23 N. Chenango St., Greene, N.Y. 13778. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the North Fenton United Methodist Church, 1 Brookside Lane, Chenango Forks, N.Y. 13746.
