JAY -- Frances Malskis, 89, of 37 Rockledge Lane, Jay, N.Y., passed away Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007, at CVPH Medical Center, in Plattsburgh, N.Y.
She was born Dec. 20, 1917, in Brooklyn, N.Y., the daughter of Jacob and Lena (Bloodgood) Wegman.
She is survived by two sons and two daughters-in-law, Joseph and Teresa Malskis of Jay, N.Y., and John and Mary Ann Malskis of California; 10 grandchildren, Judith Marie Redman, Brian and Valerie Malskis and Joseph and Shelley Malskis of Jay, N.Y., Walter and Rene Malskis, Marita and Dr. David Bodkin, Raymond and Nene Malskis, John and Gena Malskis, Melinda and Mike Tarsus, James and Judy Malskis and Robin and Kevin Nolan; and 20 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Anna Wegman of Florida.
She was predeceased by her husband, Walter V. Malskis, who died in 1955.
Calling hours will be Saturday, Nov. 24, 2007, from 9 to noon at the Zaumetzer-Sprague Funeral Home in AuSable Forks.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, Nov. 24, 2007, at 12:30 p.m. at Holy Name Catholic Church in AuSable Forks, N.Y. The Rev. Philip Allen, pastor of Holy Name, St. Matthews and St. Margarets, will be officiating.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Zaumetzer-Sprague Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
