Carol Barros Obituary

BARROS, CAROL ANN (CORREY), 47, of Warwick, passed away on Sunday at Kent County Hospital. She was the companion of Frank J. Barros, Sr. of Providence.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of Frederick T. and Margaret E. (Almeida) Correy of Cranston. Carol Ann was a 1978 graduate of Central High School and attended the R.I. School for the Deaf, both in Providence. She was a member of the LTS Armstrong & Gladding Auxiliary Post #69 in Providence for over 20 years and enjoyed doing ceramics and arts and crafts, but most of all she cherished the time spent with her beloved graddaughter, Jada-Lynn Barros.

She was the mother of Travys A. and Frank J. Barros, Jr. of Providence and the late Corey E. and Shanda Marie Barros; sister of Denise Correy of Cranston, Teresa Isom of Providence, and Frederick T., Jr. and Jerome Correy both of Prov.

Carol Ann's family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in the A.A. MARIANI & SON Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins St., Providence followed by a Funeral Home Service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private.

I want to say thank you to all that left a message here in this guestbook and/or showed up at the service. I also want to say that I love you Mommy and not a day will go by that I won't think of you and the love we all shared. our time here together was short but now you have to help God with Corey and Shaunda. One day I will tell my children of the beautiful soul their grandmother was and still is. I tried my very best to make you so proud of me as your son. Sometimes anything I did never seemed enough because you deserve everything I can give and more. It's been hard realizing that you are no longer here, but you are and I can feel you sometimes. Cece and Patecha are very sad and sorry they couldn't get back to Rhode Island for the service, but you now know how much of a mother you were to them when thiers weren't there. They love you and will also remember you forever. One day we will all be up with you, Corey, Shaunda and the rest of the Correy clan before us and we will love once again. I love you very much and will always think of you,

Frank Jr.

Carol will be sadly missed by her family. We will always love you and hold you dear to our hearts. Sorry you never had the chance to visit your cousins in Florida. The tears were many, but I now know you are resting in peace. I hope you are enjoying your time with your two children and grandma who went before you. Tell them I said hello. It will take some time for the pain to go away but our memories of you will last a lifetime. You are gone but you will never be forgotten. Bye for now.

Cousin Carol,

Words cannot express how we all feel at this time, just the thought of you not being here on Earth with us anymore just breaks my heart. We all had such a good time at Larry's Memorial and 1 week later, you were called Home to join the rest of our loved ones. You will be missed but never forgotten and "in time" we will all be together again. I will love you forever as memories of you will always live within my heart. Uncle Freddie & Aunty Peggie, Teresa, Denise, Jerome & Freddie Jr. my heart is with you all right now. Frankie & Travys, I am so sorry as I know this is a especially hard time for you both, my prayers and heart is with you. She loved you both so much and was so proud to have Jada-Lynn in her life. She will always be watching over you all and smiling pretty. To the entire Correy Family….I know we will all miss her, “fill not your hearts in pain and sorrow, but let’s remember Carol in every tomorrow”…. She was such a beautiful special lady.

Much Love
