Elda Goldschmidt Obituary

GOLDSCHMIDT, ELDA Z., 88, of Warwick, died January 5th at Brentwood Nursing Home. She is survived by her husband of 62 years Raymond C. Goldschmidt.

Born in New York, NY, she was the daughter of the late Hugo and Irene (Isnardi) Zecchini.

Mrs. Goldschmidt was a former owner of a craft store in West Virginia and a consignment clothing store in Newport. She was an artist and member of the Wickford Art Association.

A big part of her life was playing the recorder and performing with her friends, 'The Tooters.'

Besides her husband she leaves a son Raymond F. Goldschmidt and his wife Beverly, grandsons Todd A. and Scott R. Goldschmidt, a brother Walter Zecchini, a sister Inez Esposito and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends. She was the sister of the late Wallace Zecchini.

Visitation will be Sunday 2-5 p.m. in the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., E. Greenwich. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Home & Hospice Care of RI, South Office.

I worked for Elda at her craft store in Huntington WV, Crafts & Stuff. She and her husband Ray were two of the nicest people I have ever known. She gave my the opportunity of my life working for her. With Jehovahs love I will see her again one day.
