Robert Bevilacqua Obituary

BEVILACQUA, ESQ. ROBERT J. 90, of Providence, passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at Cherry Hill Manor, Johnston. He was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy L. (Volpe) Bevilacqua. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Giovanni and Angelica (Iannotti) Bevilacqua. He was the brother of the late Chief Justice Joseph and Josephine Bevilacqua and Henry and Lucy Pezza. Robert was a US Army Veteran serving during World War II. He is survived by his loving nieces and nephews, Angelica Gosz, Esq. and her husband Bill, John J. Bevilacqua, Esq., Karen Leith and her husband Jim, Joseph A. Bevilacqua and his wife Donna, Linda Andrews and her husband Robert, Anthony Pezza, and the late Mary A. Bevilacqua. He is also survived by many great nieces and great nephews. Robert was a charter member of the Alpine Country Club in Cranston. He was also a member of the Sons of Italy and Silver Lake Lions Club. Robert was a graduate of Classical High School, Bryant College and Suffolk University Law School. He was also a member of both RI and MA Bar Associations. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 10:00 am in St. Bartholomew Church, 297 Laurel Hill Ave, Providence. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. To Johnny & Robert, and the entire Bevilacqua Family,
Karen and Ie were so sorry to hear of Bobby's passing. We have know Bobby through many, many years of family, and business relationships. Bobby was like a Father to me, and many other people throughout the state of RI. His warm, and Loving compassion for many families including my own will never be forgotten. He had a heart of gold, and is with God and his family in heaven. We are so sorry that we will not be able to make the funeral services on Wednesday, due to our own health isesues. But Bobby, and his family will be always remembered in our Hearts and Love. Until we meet again Bobby.....We Love You,
