I am so sad to hear the news, Mr. Sampalis was a wonderful person, God Bless him for his generosity, kindness, and especially for putting up with Dennis and I back in the day. We lived across the street many years ago, and Dennis and I terrorized the neighbors. The Sampalis Family was my second home, and I've never experienced such warmth and the strength of a Family as I did with Mr. and Mrs. Sampalis, Paula, Dennis, Kristina, and Ya-Ya (God bless her soul). Mr. Sampalis taught us how to play soccer, and would shuffle Dennis and I back and forth from soccer practice and games. The Sampalis Family fed me, and fed me WELL (sorry Mom, God rest your soul, Mrs. Sampalis could cook better than anyone). I'm overcome with mixed emotions of deep sadness and at the same time incredibly joyful memories of the years I was lucky enough to spend with Mr. Sampalis and his beautiful Family. You are in my thoughts and prayers, and I will be forever grateful for letting me be a part of so many amazing Sampalis family experiences.

Sincerely,
Ray ("Shannon") Parkin
