Tonie Elizabeth Martinez

1963 - 2014

Tonie Elizabeth, Beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, aunt and friend. Tonie Elizabeth Martinez Kosinski, passed away at age 51 on November 1, 2014.
She was born May 2, 1963, to Mary Ann Marr Smith and the late Bernard Francis 'Doc' Kosinski in Corning, NY.
Tonie graduated from Clovis High School in 1981 after which she began her long career with ENMR Telephone, where she found her second family. Tonie married Richard Fred Martinez in 1982. Though later divorced, they had two children, Mandi Danielle Martinez and Joshua Michael Martinez, who she provided constant love, support and guidance to. Tonie became grandma or 'Na' to Marvin James Reese Jr. in 2006, Makiyah Elizabeth Reese in 2008, and she was looking forward to meeting her new grandson who is expected in February 2015. Known for her generous and loving heart, Tonie always put others above herself and touched many of our lives with her presence.
She was an active member of St. Anne's Catholic Church and had a continuous pursuit for education. All who knew Tonie will forever be thankful for the gift that was her life.
Preceded in death by her father; Doc in 2013.
She is survived by her mother; Mary Anne and step-father Chris Smith, step-mother; Joy Kosinski, children; Mandi and Josh, grandchildren; Marvin and Makiyah, sisters; Brenda, Missy, Marilynn, and Jessie, brother; Cliff, nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law, the Martinez/Archuleta family who considered her to be one of their own, the ENMR/Plateau family and her many friends. Tonie will forever be missed, but never forgotten.
The celebration of her life will take place at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Tucumcari, NM.
The rosary will be on Friday November 7, 2014. The funeral will be on Saturday November 8, 2014, with a reception to follow at the San Jon Community Center.
