Funeral Services for Catherine M. Gleize, 79, Davenport, will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Cunnick-Collins Mortuary, Davenport. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park.
Catherine died Sunday, August 3, 2003, at her daughter’s home in Donahue, Iowa.
Catherine M. Anders was born on November 24, 1923, in Benton, County, Iowa, the daughter of John and Amanda (Brieholz) Anders. She married Robert Klingman in 1940. She later married Bill Gleize in 1954. He preceded her in death in 1976.
Catherine was a member of the Elks Club 298 and Eagles Club 235, Davenport. She worked at Hickey Brothers, Davenport, for 10 years and then for Sears & Roebuck for 32 years, retiring in 1989.
Catherine was an avid Euchre player, she had a zest for life and loved being with friends and family.
Survivors include her daughters, Marcia M. Link and her husband, Terry of Davenport, Kathy J. Fletchall and her husband, Earl of St. Louis, Mo., and Terri L. Gleize-Plett and her husband, Darrin of Donahue; stepchildren, Rick Gleize of Minnesota, and Linda Horen and Deb Rogahan both of Arizona; seven grandchildren; a great-grandchild; six stepgrandchildren; a brother, Henry Anders of Dysart, Iowa; and a sister Elnora Brunssen of Vanhorn, Iowa.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; an infant son, David Gleize; and a son, Robert Klingman in 1999.
Memorials may be made to the Eagles Club 235, Davenport, or the American Cancer Society.
