Bonnie and Terry Hafer

Bonnie (Buch) Hafer Terry Alan Hafer Bonnie (Buch) Hafer, 62, and Terry Alan Hafer, 62, passed away tragically May 21, 2021. Bonnie and Terry had been “best friends” for many years and were happily married since 1984. Bonnie was the daughter of Ronald Roy and Janet Ann (Mohn) Buch and Terry the son of Willard Burton and Anna Larue (Cleaver) Hafer. They both were 1976 high school graduates; Bonnie from Exeter and Terry from Oley. Terry and Bonnie were well known and loved in the community. Terry was the owner and operator of the Oley Beer Mart and Oley Lawn Equipment. He also spent many years working for Pikeville Equipment as a mechanic. He was a life member of the Reading Motorcycle Club. Bonnie was employed as a production planner by Beacon Container for over 40 years. She loved Disney, the beach and shopping, while Terry enjoyed his tractors, racing dirt track, walking the boardwalk in Wildwood. Most importantly they loved spending time with their grandchildren. They leave behind three children: Matthew Alan, husband of Kimberly A. Hafer of Exeter Township; Hillary A. (Bratz), wife of Kenneth W. Steinly, of Upper Bern Township, and Tiffany A. (Hafer), wife of Justin Ollar of Exeter Township and seven grandchildren: Jacob A. Hafer, Kayla A. Hafer, Ella R. Strawhacker, Cheyenne A. Ollar, Cody M. Ollar, Charlee A. Ollar and Colt M. Ollar. They also leave behind their siblings: Barry Lee Hafer of Oley, Rickie R., husband of Debbie Buch of Douglassville, Tina Ann (Buch), wife of Raymond Werts of Reading and Stacie Buch of Reading. Bonnie was predeceased by a daughter, Heather Ann Bratz (1980-1981). A public viewing will be held Friday, May 28th from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM in Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 423 Main Street, Oley, PA 19547. There will be no public services.
