Doris Hecht Obituary
Born in Hudson, Mass. on May 9, 1928, the daughter of the late Joseph A. and Ivolene (Getchell) Chausse. She graduated from Meriden High School in 1946 and the Pequod Business School. Mrs. Hecht was a member of the Meriden Turner Society. She loved her family, music, sewing and reading.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children and their spouses, James R. and LoriAn Hecht of Durham, Kevin J. and Kim B. Hecht, Holly H. and Michael G. Bouchard, Kari H. and Gary P. Robarge, all of Southington; a brother, Ernest Chausse; and a sister, Bernice McDaniels, both of Florida.; 10 grandchildren, Rebecca L. Bouchard, Kristen M. Bouchard, Karl W. Hecht, Jae Lyn Hecht, James F. Bouchard, Joseph R. Bouchard, Thomas J. Hecht, Kendal J. Hecht, Alisha A. Robarge and Marissa M. Robarge; a brother-in-law, John F. Hecht and his wife, Iris B. Hecht of Cheshire; a sister-in-law, Bernice Chausse of East Berlin; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Wilfrid and Robert Chausse.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the Southington Care Center's Employee Sunshine Fund, 45 Meriden Ave., Southington, CT 06489, or a charity of the donor's choice.
